Giving

God's people have always been characterized by giving, but the way they've given has changed over time. For example, people no longer bring goats, sheep, calves and grain to God as they did in the Old Testament. Giving money is simpler, cleaner and theologically sounder since Jesus has made the ultimate sacrifice. Most generally we will take an offering as a part of our worship service at both First Baptist Church and Millinocket Baptist.

During the time when we are not able to meet because of the global pandemic and governor's stay at home orders, we are not able to take an offering, but we do ask that you remain faithful in your giving. While we are experimenting with different options, we currently only have one way; that is through the mail.

For your offering to go to First Baptist Church of East Millinocket you can mail it directly to the church at 2 Oak Street, East Millinocket, Maine 04430 or mail it to our financial secretary Joanne Emery at 837 Medway Road, Medway, Maine 04460.

For your offering to go to Millinocket Baptist Church you can mail it directly to the church at PO Box 898, Millinocket, Maine 04462 or to the financial secretary Gladys Morrison at 236 Congress Street, Millinocket, Maine 04462.

Giving is an important aspect of the Christian life. After all, Luke records that Jesus himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). In each of the two churches, we want to encourage all members to pray about giving and give as God leads them.
